Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them is Phantom (No. 102987), a 1-year-old spayed female domestic tortoiseshell short-haired cat. Also hoping for a good home is Bobby (No. 103574), a 7-month-old male black and brown spayed German shepherd.?Fees are charged for licensing and spaying or neutering, if necessary. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day).
