BALTIMORE (AP) ? Jacoby Jones? next dance will come after he scores a touchdown for the Baltimore Ravens.
After finishing third in ?Dancing With The Stars,? Jones returned to the football field Friday for a voluntary offseason training activity. Instead of doings dips and spins, the wide receiver caught passes from quarterback Joe Flacco.
?I?m back in my element,? Jones said. ?It?s like I never left. I went from football to dancing and right back to football. It?s like riding a bike, I guess.?
Jones scored two touchdowns in Baltimore?s 34-31 Super Bowl in over San Francisco, then made a few talk-show appearances before participating in ?Dancing With The Stars.?
Instead of getting kidded by his teammates for busting a few moves on national television, Jones is being asked to give lessons.
?They?re all trying to get me to teach them how to dance,? he said. ?I?m not going to teach them. I?m tired of dancing.?
Jones intends to display his best dance moves on the football field in 2013 as part of his touchdown celebration.
?I wasn?t doing that dancing for nothing,? he said. ?I can?t wait to get in the end zone; I?m not going to dance until I get in the end zone.?
Although dancing competitively wasn?t exactly a typical offseason workout, it seemed to do the trick for Jones.
?I?m normally walking around here half dead, but that dancing got me in shape,? he said after a two-hour workout. ?The only difference is, the sun is out here. Inside, you?re dancing in air conditioning. It?s totally different.?
He appeared to be in excellent shape.
?Coach thought I was lifting weights,? he said. ?I couldn?t help it. You dance six hours a day, seven days a week, you?re going to get lean.?
Jones said his favorite dance was the Jive, ?because I?m quick and fast.? But he added, ?After you do all that running around for a minute and 30 seconds, you learn to love the foxtrot because it slows you down.?
